or plant food that addressed this basic issue, I knew I had to
create a revolutionary formula!
Most fertilizers are aimed at the needs of the advanced plant.
I felt that if I could form a nutrient package aimed at the embryo
of the seed and the developing feeder roots (the tiny, hair-like
roots by which the seed or seedlings absorb their water and nutrient
requirements); a nutrient package to make these feeder roots more
numerous and more aggressive in their search for nutrients, a
faster growing, healthier plant would emerge.
My years at the research center taught me that more feeder roots
typically give plants:
1. a bigger root system
2. a heavier, stronger stalk
3. a healthy leaf structure
4. more abundant fruit or flowers
5. more resistance to disease
6. more tolerance of the elements, especially drought
I also learned that all plants, trees and bushes keep developing
these tiny feeder roots all through their life spans.
Roots anchor the plant and provide its water and nutrition. Even
a plant’s oxygen is obtained through the water taken up
by the roots. Think about it! It’s just like having two
straws in a milk shake, one big one and one small. The person
with the big straw will get more shake. The plant with bigger
roots will get more nutrition and water.

that when grown, the plants eventually would require varying degrees
of acidity (pH).
